Golden Arrow by David Weston.

Deltic by David Weston.
1961 saw the arrival of the first Deltic Diesel locomotives which soon made considerable impact on the London North Eastern Region of British Rail with speeds regularly in excess of 100mph. This painting features the locomotive D9002 Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, one of only 23 of this type built. The beautiful high arc of York Station provides a fitting frame and handsome background.
