  Richard Sidney Percy was born in 1821to the famous Williams family of painters. He exhibited his paintings at the Royal Academy, London and  and also the British Institute at Suffolk Street from 1842 to 1886. Richard Sidney Percy was the founder of the Barnes School and is considered to be one of the best Victorian English landscape artists he died in 1886
